When I travel for many days to countries where the cost of living is high, I often think ‘how do I enjoy as much as possible while saving money.’ Anyway, I prefer this kind of travel over extravagant trips. This time, although I went to Japan Alps Art Festival 2017 as a visitor, I didn’t buy a passport (2,500yen). But I enjoyed myself mainly viewing free art exhibits for the whole day. This is my best kind of day. 🙂
Note: Honestly, I almost copied and pasted all of each art exhibit explanation from the official page. Because I often don’t completely understand even if I read the explanation of what the art is. 😅 But I like art, unique and cool things…
The day came to find out my test result on a website. It was scheduled for 3 pm. Although I had been waiting since the day after taking the test, I didn’t have the courage to look at my result. So, I was thinking of covering the laptop screen with a thin white piece of paper or covering my eyes with my hands when I open the website. I will see it a little and I can be ready to accept reality gradually. Am I a coward?
In Japan, there are some art festivals, for example, Art Setouchi (Triennale) and Echigo Tsumari Art Field. I like going to them, so I’ve been to both several times. Now, Japan Alps Art Festival 2017is being held from June 4th to July 31st at Omachi in Japan. There are about 30 pieces of art in this festival. The pieces of art vary widely, some are inside and some outside, and are from small to huge. Visitors can buy a passport, which allows them to see all the art, for 2500 yen, but they can also see some of the art for free.
3-1: I tried to find a wild platypus in Australia. 3-2: I went stargazing on top of Mauna Kea Mountain on Hawaii island. 3-3: I found the Southern Cross on Bora Bora Island. 3-4: I snorkeled for the first time in my life on the coast of Bali
My memorable trips so far:
I went to the distillery tourson Islay island in Scotland.
At the distillery tour, the guide was a very kind woman. At that time my friend and I were the only visitors. After the tour, she explained the history of the distillery. She gave me many tastes of different whiskies. I was so glad but actually, whisky isn’t one of my favorite drinks, so I told her this honestly.
On Saturday morning, all of the sudden, my housemate said, “a Europian woman sent an email. She wants to stay here on Sunday’s night. ” “What?” I said. He had registered for Couch Surfing (couchsurfing.com). I knew he wanted to do it, but I thought he hadn’t registered for it yet. Because he hadn’t readied a room for visitors. So, I was super surprised. 😵
One year has passed since I started writing this blog. 🎉 This is the first time I’ve been able to continue posting on a social network for a long period of time. So far, although I’ve had several social network accounts, I couldn’t continue them. Because it always became a pain in the butt after a few posts.
